Annoyances Revisited...
Firstly, dammit...seems those rumours of a whole CD full of crazy frog related nonsense could be true, if that damn popcorn frog remix is anything to go by...I assume they'll be trawling the last 30 years or so, looking for annoying tunes to lay 'brrring ding ding grrr' over the top of and sell to idiots. I just dont want to imagine whats coming after this one, although I can! Things like this actually shake my faith in democracy of all things, because... the people that think its a good idea to pay for 9 new ringtones and pictures a week at three pounds each, are the same people that have the vote on who runs the country...but hey, if I get into that one, I may just end up taking more room up on the internet than all the porn merchants combined, so ..next!
Big Brother, hmm... actually, this lot haven't annoyed me half as much as previous inmates, amazingly Maxwell of all of them, took one look and made my mind up..and now I've got to admit he doesnt seem quite as arsewitted as he appears, and damn at least him and his 'side' in the house are capable of smiling and laughing...and not just when a pensioner falls down some stairs, unlike the other half of the house, who only seem to enjoy the suffering of others...including me! a sample of the unbelievable cluelessness on display ' Light my fire ' (THE DOORS DAMMIT ) ' that was robbie williams, wasnt it?' ' oh no..I think it was will young..'
ok, I admit will young did butcher it, unlike robbie williams who as far as I know hasnt covered it, but damn, I hope its not the general consensus that he wrote it..with his chin...
And then I think it was Vanessa, who's been called a wallflower...nearer wallpaper, with her Sam Fisher style talents of being invisible to cameras, audiences and housemates alike, as ever, being coma inducingly DULL seems to be a winning tactic, actually took Derek up on his love of fox hunting, unfortunately, as unlikeable as he is, he's capable of holding an argument. 'and why dont you approve of it, my dear?' 'umm...cos foxes are cute innit'
My God...I'm not considering myself some kind of master argument winner, but damn a dead fox himself could have held that argument a little longer. Ok, foxes..IF they are vermin...and IF they are a problem to the countryside..then sure, kill em, just dont ENJOY your cruelty, I mean, 'happy slapping' is considered, rightly, a wart on the arse of society, because it is cruelty for 'enjoyment', how is foxhunting different? Next...
New Housemates, as unpopular as that Kinga was, SURELY she could have been more entertaining that someone that lives to stare at mirrors, moisturise herself, and stare some more. Eugene, weird, but he can stay, in my opinion. Overall too, why does every series have to have QUITE so many camp, over the top gayness in it? I'm really not anti gay at all, althought I cant claim 'some of my best friends are gay', the few I have known, were more like the Dan guy from last year, whos been forgotten I imagine, because he acted like a normal guy...that happened to be a homosexual. His only concession to it seemed to be being a big slaphead, no need for makeup, high heels, and being a big drama queen!
Oh and a strange experience I had, I listened to some of my old Bill Hicks stuff after reading a couple of books about him recently. and considering he died over 10 years ago, its amazing how relevant some of his stuff still is, I'm talking early nineties, and he was going on about how he couldnt believe they hadnt caught Saddam, and oh..only took em till last year. All his Bush Serior stuff seems to apply to Bush Jnr, the John major stuff, Blair seems just as guilty of, etc ,etc. After reading both his biography and a collection of all his work, written, spoken, etc. Its a tradegy he was almost unknown in his own country, and he was actually more popular over here in the UK! although he was known as a comedian, it tells so little of the story, its like saying Jesus was a carpenter with charisma.
As for third world debt, unless we want to claim our money back in sand...we've gotta just give it up, not for any great charitable reasons, just purely from the fact of realism, if a homeless guy living in a wheelie bin owed 5 million quid, NO-ONE would expect him to ever pay it back...eventually they'd just give up. Its just the only sensible way out. Yes there's a shedload of corruption in many of these countries, but what really is the answer? 'Help' like we did with Iraq? They really dont seem to be appreciating it too much.
hmmm...more to come when I need to vent more.
